About the Journal
Cognitive Remediation Journal (ISSN 1805-7225) is an online peer-reviewed journal that focuses on information mediation and exchange in the area of nonpharmacological interventions of neuropsychological character at the entire spectrum of medical disorders. The journal is published by Centrum duševního zdraví Jeseník and Šumperk (Center of mental health Jesenik and Sumperk) with co-publishing support by Palacký University.
We publish original articles from research and medical practices, survey studies, postgraduate topics, news form interesting scientific and medical events, and book reviews. We also offer space for expert discussion about specialized topics of master thesis and bachelor's thesis and advertising new research. The journal is freely accessible to all readers. The articles are published in Czech and English version.
The manuscripts are evaluated in two rounds. In the first round, every manuscript is evaluated by the editors. The editors reserve the right to refuse any article. In the second round, the manuscript undergoes a double blind review procedure (except for discussions, messages and book reviews). The review of research or survey studies and of practice contributions is then sent to the author. The manuscript is either marked as "accepted", "accepted after corrections" (a correction is required in order to get published), or "declined".
Our Mission
The area of nonpharmacological care represents very important part of medical and scientific research. The questions related to this topic are and will be in the center of attention of both professional and general public. Cognitive Remediation Journal is trying to meet the growing demand for scientific information in this area.
Since its inception in 2012, the journal has registered over 3.600 page views.
The Aim of the Journal:
- to provide space for presenting and mediating professional findings of domestic and foreign experts in the field of nonpharmacological interventions
- to provide study materials for postgraduate education
- to create a platform for greater informational exchange and communication across disciplines that are dealing with the application of nonpharmalogical approaches during diagnosis and therapy
- to cultivate interdisciplinary expert debate associated with nonpharmacological interventions
