Excessive computer usage, especially the usage of the internet (in the form of social networks and games), often has a character of non-substance behavioral addictive behaviour. It is also related to health problems caused by sedentary lifestyle, induced stress symptoms, and diet violation.Another risk is a problem of insufficient social skills development and communication in relationships and its influence on verbal communication. It is known that there is a link between excessive playing of violent games and increased aggression. The result can be verbal and physical aggression including cyberbullying. Another alarming thing is the impact of commercialization and marketing in the virtual world, leading children and adolescents to consuming lifestyle. The work also pays attention to possible causes of the above mentioned problems as well as the recommendation of preventive measures and subsequent solutions.
