AB  - Survey of basic facts about diagnostics and differential diagnostics of dementia is brought in the paper. Attention is paid to evaluation of cognitive functions, somatic cause of cognitive deficits, secondary occuring cognitive deficits resulting from another mental disorder, further to the subjective memory impairment, mild cognitive impairment and differential diagnostics of the mostly occuring dementias including dementias with both neurological and psychiatric features.
