Vliv tréninku pracovní paměti na symptomy u ADHD

Pracovní paměť je teoretickým konstruktem vycházejícím z původního konceptu krátkodobé paměti, sloužící pro dočasné uložení a manipulaci s informacemi, které jsou nezbytné pro složitou kognitivní činnost, jako je myšlení, učení apod. Deficity v oblasti pracovní paměti se projevují jako poruchy paměti nebo poruchy pozornosti u četných duševních poruch, jako např. ADHD nebo schizofrenie. Výzkumy z poslední doby přinesly důkazy o tom, že pracovní paměť může být trénována. Trénink pracovní paměti začal rozpracovávat a vědecky zkoumat T. Klingberg, který se zabýval trénováním pracovní paměti u dětí s ADHD. Z výzkumů vyplývá, že trénink pracovní paměti má na kognitivní funkce a symptomy u dětí s ADHD pozitivní dopad.
